My name is Dionne, and this is my store.  I am so happy to finally have things up and running, at the point where I can freely open my virtual doors! Besides the printing partner and supplier (s) I work with, this shop is basically a one-person show.  Designing the website as well as the designs on all the products has been an incredible learning experience for me as my previous work experience is in investment portfolio administration.  The most valuable lessons I have learned so far are one, it is always a work in progress and that's ok and two, there is always room to grow and improve.  With that, I just want to thank you so much for visiting today! Please feel free to chat with me anytime by using the chat button here on the website, by email at info@wallsandtime.com, or through social media and whats app.  You can find more contact infomation on the Contact page, which is accessed via the Main Menu.                                                   _______________

Below is a little bit of information on how this type of business runs, in case you might be interested!

How it works:

Walls & Time operates a print on demand, dropshipping business model.  Print-on-demand refers to the contactless daily oprational process a business follows when offering physical goods to consumers such as home decor accessories or clothing.  Dropshipping is similar to print-on-demand in that nothing is sent out from the supplier until the product is actually purchased - print on demand is just an extra step in the preparation of the product. This system is an all around win situation for everyone involved; the small business owner, our valued customers, and the planet.  Outsourcing inventory management and shipping systems keeps the focus on creating designs, getting to know customers, and keeping the website running smoothly - and since there is very little overhead, it also keeps keeps business start-up costs low.

Another interesting benefit to the print-on-demand concept is that it gives the customer access to unique products that are created with somebody's personal touch, with options to customize further according to personal preference of the customer. So remember, products from Walls and Time are 100% customizable!  This means that just by sending an email, you can request to change or add to the design in any imaginable way! You may notice a few products in store are marked "personalisable" as well.  This is the new system being implemented which allows you to add your own design layers such as a png or jpg image, or text, without sending an email and then viewing a preview on your screen before deciding that is what you want to order.  The products already labeled are the ones that would suit customisation the best - but you really can modify anything.

While customers shopping online is becoming normal, and there are new places to check out all the time, the competition among business grows - which helps in lowering prices  at the supplier level, further trickling down to the merchant and customer alike. Shipping costs however, still remain a challenge.  Because of the high shipping costs, Walls & Time offers free or discounted shipping on all of the products in store.  Each listing will calculate this automatically based on where the product is supplied from and where it is going.

Finally, it is clear to see the benefit of a print on demand system to the environment, as this type of business has a positive effect on our eco-system. because dropshipping offers a level of efficiency that results in zero waste.  The item is only put together and shipped out once someone has already bought it. And if someone went out of the way of their local shopping options or comfort zone, just to find something they liked online, they are more likely to keep it for it's entire lifespan.  With consumers like this it and merchants like that, it means that at the end of the day there is no inventory to throw away, so no landfill will be clogged up, resulting in less polution - and when it comes to our planet, every little bit of harm prevention counts.

Despite technological advancements in automation and the advantages that it brings, it is important that we can keep the human side of our businesses alive. If we just use the tools we have at our disposal such as social media, email, and even video chat we won't forget there is a person on the other side of our computer!
